I started out as a small online seller, learning through trial and error and quickly realized the complexity and challenges that this sector brings. But instead of getting discouraged, I saw every challenge as an opportunity to grow.

My journey has been lined with significant milestones. One of them was the transition from a lone wolf to a team player when I started working in larger e-commerce companies. There, I gained deep insights into the mechanics of online marketplaces and learned how to develop effective strategies for sales and marketplace optimization.

My dual perspective - grounded in German marketplace expertise and a Dutch merchant perspective - has allowed me to fill a unique niche. I understand not only the technical and strategic aspects of e-commerce, but also the cultural nuances that are so crucial in internationalization.

My e-commerce journey began with my own businesses, where I gained first-hand experience in building and scaling online stores. I launched a Shopify store for baby cribs, created a fashion brand, and operated a Print-on-Demand poster shop. These ventures allowed me to develop expertise in Facebook Ads, product sourcing, and brand development, forming a solid foundation in online retail.

Building on my entrepreneurial experience, I joined Kaufland, one of Germany’s leading online marketplaces. During this time, I worked in sales, key account management, business development, product data management, and online marketing. While working closely with Dutch sellers, I recognized the unique challenges they face when entering the German market.

In 2022, I teamed up with Jakob to combine our expertise and address these challenges head-on. Drawing from my insights at Kaufland and Jakob’s experience, we developed a specialized service offering that supports Dutch e-commerce sellers in successfully expanding into the German market.
